During the works for the installation of the Hotel do Corpo Santo, *pieces* of Lisbon's history of incalculable importance were discovered. The **archaeological excavations made it possible to expose a set of ruins** that take us back to a **Medieval Lisbon** , in continuous transformation from the **14th to the 21st century** . Thus, it was possible to identify traces of a Lisbon lost in time, formerly the capital of a vast maritime empire, pioneer of globalization, which brought people and cultures together and made known, in Camões' immortal verses, “new worlds to the world”.
